RUN…don’t walk….away from this place!! Especially in December, January, February! You don’t want to enjoy the gorgeous sunsets right across the bay. Or experience living right beside the water. Or the clean restrooms / showers and amazing clubhouse with a wrap around patio overlooking the park and bay. Or the quaint “Keys-esque” charm of Port St. Joe. NO!! Don’t come … because I want to and you might take the last spot! LOL Seriously, this place is one of my favorites on the planet. But it is often full because of its amazingness. Everything about it is special, especially if you are lucky enough to get by the water. If you do come, plan on staying a week or two. That’s when the whole experience soaks in. They have boats, they’ll set you up with everything to play on the water if you want to go out. Hunts is a short walk away is great for lunch/dinner. Fresh fish in the market below. May the “Forgotten Coast” remain forgotten. It’s rare to have something like this so relatively undisturbed. It’s not an entertainment mecca, so if nature isn’t your thing and you need tinsel entertainment, this isn’t it. It’s pure connection with God’s amazing creation. Bring Starlink of you have it. Cell outside of town drops off fast, however, they have improved the park wifi. I got in the 30 up and 10 down range – enough to do video conferencing. They said it had recently been improved. You’ll have a straight shot north if you have Starlink and you’ll be fine. Enjoy!
