Apalachicola

Historic Apalachicola is about 25 miles east of Presnell’s Marina and RV Park along Hwy 98. Its maritime heritage and a still-working waterfront make it a popular destination with fresh seafood served from dockside diners.

Apalachicola oysters are known worldwide and the Florida Seafood Festival, held the first weekend in November, pays annual tribute to them with a grand celebration throughout the city. Apalachicola’s colorful and diverse past is evident today as you stroll shaded streets lined with century-old Victorian homes, art galleries, and the Apalachicola Maritime Museum.
